2012: Year of Connection

We kicked off 2012 as the “Year of Connection” at Connection Church yesterday.

What does that mean? It means that we are pulling out all the stops to create onramps and environments for you to connect!

Our Connection Cafe officially opens on January 8th….we gave free samples yesterday and the reviews have been “Yes!”

We’ve also added seating for close to 70 people in the mallway and created a Guest Reception area for our 1,2,3 time guests each Sunday.

Caring Our Community to Christ

The Guest Services Team recently met for breakfast to get to know each other a bit better and hear from Pastor Rocky. We caught up with Scott Burnham, Guest Services Leader, at the breakfast and he had this to say about our GS team. For more info on joining the GS team please email info@connectionchurch.info.

It has been said that the majority of people make a decision about a new church in the very first few minutes after they arrive. This is why the Guest Service Team is such an important part of Connection Church. The team is made up of Greeters, Ushers and Hostesses, all of whom are dedicated to making all people feel welcome and appreciated. There is always room for you to come along and be a part of this ministry.

Next Generation Leaders Emerging @ Connection

I really enjoy every time we have a Partnership (Membership) class at Connection Church.
It gives me an opportunity to get to know people better, do some discipleship training, and share the fundamentals of the faith.
This time, I was so very pleased to see quite a few emerging leaders from our youth ministry.
I wholeheartedly believe that “Everything rises and falls on leadership,” and
from the group we had at this Partnership class – it looks to me like our youth
ministry is continuing to get better and better. There’s a great spiritual dynamic going on, and it’s great to see these young adults “stepping up” in leadership. — Rocky Barra, Lead Pastor
